I can not go back and change

My transgressions against

My fellow man in

the moments of yesterday

No more than I can ignore

the aggression that lingers

in my heart still today

There are moments in time

When we must decide

our own destinies

And let fate not only

Determine our tranquility

We are not defined by

the mistakes we continually make

But by the changes we eventually make.

If we don't grab a hold

To what we believe in

What legacy and what state

Do we leave our children in?

If we can not recognize

A need for a stronger nation.

Then left behind

are our ancestral traditions.

If you can not grasp the concept

That we are not alone

And percept

That we have already failed

our younger generation.

If you could just summon up

Enough courage

To put a little of

The weight of the world

On your shoulders

Could I hold your mind in my hand

And get you to see

Within my message

IS a need of urgency

We must be determined

To make a impact

even if it is just briefly

If you could just connect

With me on some level

And bare the burden

Of our actions.

To redefine the perceptions

Of your heart

If we are to move mountains

Than we must not confine oneself

To the limitations of our abilities.
