Sunshine

I wish,

I wish I had a little,

A little sunshine of my own!

So I could give it to you

I need,

I need to have a little,

A little sunshine of my own!

So I would give it to you

I dream,

I dream I had a little,

A little sunshine of my own!

So I would give my dream to you,

Or let you in my dream,

With eyes closed so firm,

To hold the sunshine close,

To pass it on to you,

Or let you share my share,

With eyes so glassy and bare,

To reflect it all to you.

I wish,

I wish I had a little,

A little sunshine of my own!

To give back to my sunshine

A little sunshine of my own!

My Sky

My Sky

I am just a mere chick,

I wonder why they are flying

As I grow,

I explore the world full of wonders

And now I am grown up,

I found the most enchanting place

But your way too high for me to reach

To reach you,

I learn to fly

As I fly,

I am reaching you

And now I am near you,

I wonder... is there really heaven in you?

In death and love there may be but one season

By todd howland

Death brings and end to the season

Normally, a surprise end

Normally, too early

But a finality

There are no playoffs

No next season

No lessons to be applied with the deceased

There is no second chance

We grow-up believing there is always a second chance

Another season

Another semester

Later - another job

We can learn

We can do better

The next season

In love there may be but one season

Not one season in our lives

One season, for each love

When the hopeful season turns into a losing-streak

Too many of us think their will be a next season

To start fresh with that lover

Thus, death has certain advantages over love

As death is final

We know the season has ended

Love

We often think after the break, the next season will start

After incessant practice and effort to become better

We await another chance to apply those lessons with that lover

But yet most often

The next season never comes
