Fire burns my ceiling bright

Only time will extinguish its rectangle of light

Twitchy metal mouths above me fight

Twitchy metal mouths, dancing up on my ceiling at night

Shimmering shards of carbon noise

Tell of things to come, of things that might

If only the changing molecules had sight

To see the beauty of their fire light
